Bernadette. What a quiet day, I bet. Jason didn’t come home but we had Jeff & family, as well as Allan’s Mom on Monday.

They still don’t know what is wrong with Allan. Hearing is okay & no pressure. Nothing showed when they did testing at the vascular clinic so I guess more testing. I guess that is good but he wants to know what is wrong.

I think everyone took off the summer. It wasn’t good around here. Rain! Rain! Rain! Allan is still cutting hay & trying to get it off! Oh well, maybe next year will be better.

Jeff is still as busy as ever & looking for another mechanic. Abbie is in SK 7 Ben wants to go for a ride on the tractors or 4 wheeler with Grandpa! I think Grandpa likes it as much as Ben. Jason’s work picked up again & he’s woring weekenda and holidays as well as regular. At least he managed two weeks this summer. Sure great to see Lora (Grade 1 ) & Jayden (3 this month).

Well we have finished “Maple Syrup”! Started the latest we ever have. Jack who has been coming up here to help us, keeps records. He’s been coming up hunting for over 40 ( it’s probably 50 ) years & only missed 1. Maple Syrup since 1985. Imagine! A really poor year this year, too but it sounds like everyone in the area was the same.

Jeff talked Allan into taking scrap metal up to North Bay. Price was way up so they did really well. Better money than syrup and less work.

Babysat Ben one day and gave him some. Did he love it. Aimee works Mondays so Joline & I take turns. He loves the tractor rides, four wheeler rides with Grandpa. He is so much like Jeff was, even looks like him except the red hair.I bring him up to the farm & then home to meet Abbie off the bus.He is at the age where you can have fun with him.

Nice to hear from Melissa & Megan! I hope more will not just check in but leave a message.
I can’t make it to the girls weekend – Maple Syrup time but am sure you will have a great time. John it isn’t really a long time!
Jeff is now the owner/operator of the Arnstein Garage (as of Feb.19). It is a much slower pace than he is used to but I’m sure he will do well. More time with his family, far less driving.

Anyway,, Melissa & Megan try to get more of the family into this, please & thank you!

Well, we actually survived Wednesday’s storm! At times we could hardly see the barn from the house. It was nice yesterday so we brought in wood. I’m glad I can do what I want, when I want. Well! Almost.

Just wondering where the rest of the family is.I figured people, especially the younger ones would use this more. If I can, so can the rest. At least, Bernadette, you and I get to communicate. Although it has been awhile for me. I know some of you will figure I’m retired and have more time. Well, what about Bernadette and John. They’re busy and John did the work for this.It would be nice to see it used more.

Good for you Bernadette. I have quite a few that Dad had. I took them because pictures were  going missing and Dad kept asking me if I wanted them.I will do the same as you, but first I’ll try to put them in some semblence of order and see if I can find missing pictures among Dad’s from Eastholme. It will take me quite a long time to actually comlete this because I’m trying to do (baby+) albums for the boys.
Does anyone know what happened to all the tin type pictures? They couldn’t walk away! What a shame if they are lost!
Good to see some of the grandkids on board! My boys? I don’t know!

Erma, Charlie, Maureen, & Wayne met Allan & I at Jakes yesterday. It was sure good to get together. They came up to the farm and visited for awhile. Jeff & kids were here when we returned home.
Erma I hope you read this or someone calls to wish you a late Happy Birthday since I forgot but was reminded yesterday. Happy Birthday again! Late of course – October 20 to be exact!

I now realize how much there is to learn when you have words like “Blog”.I’m hoping to get as good as Cloutiers or Carolyn or some others. My motto: keep plugging away!
Thanksgiving was different but good! Jason didn’t come home since he was coming hunting this week. Balnche & Bill only came up because the grankids said it was no fun without them. They’re hunting too!They left Sunday & took Allan’s Mom with them. She’s doing great now! Jeff & Aimee & kids were here Monday.
I would like to have an outdoor Thansgiving some year but the rest look at me as if I’ve lost it!
